The Memorial Day Holiday is a time to recognize the heroes who didn’t return home in the service of their country. This riveting documentary tells the story of one such hero from WWII originally from Ellwood City, Royal Stratton.
Lt. Royal Stratton with with the 4th Emergency Rescue Squadron, leads a deadly mission to save the lives of nine downed airmen adrift in enemy waters of a war-torn South Pacific. Immersive cinematography and gripping action, mixed with firsthand accounts and historical images, showcase the valor of this squadron who faced overwhelming odds to bring their brothers home.
As of 2023, according to US Department of Veterans Affairs statistics, 119,550 of the 16.1 million Americans who served in World War II are alive, less than 1%. We are losing an average of 131 of these heroes each day. Help us to preserve the legacy of this greatest generation by watching this film, sharing copies with friends and relatives, and encouraging discussion with similar heroes that are still with us to share their stories.
