A Christmas Toast To Dean Martin & Marilyn Monroe |
DIRECT FROM LAS VEGAS! Two of the best in the business, Susan Griffiths & Andy DiMino, return to bring Strand audiences an unforgettable concert with a yuletide theme….. A Christmas Toast to Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin!
From such well known songs as That’s Amore, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime, I Wanna be Loved by You, Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend, audiences will be charmed by the unmistakable chemistry between Andy’s ‘Dean’ and Susan’s ‘Marilyn’!
But that’s not all! To kick off the holiday season, this delightful pair will be adding many of your favorite holiday hits to their repertoire, from Dino classics like Winter Wonderland, I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm and Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer to Marilyn favorites like Santa Baby and What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve, and of course, the delightful duet, Baby It’s Cold Outside!
This pair will take you back to the days of Vegas in the 1950’s, sharing stories and anecdotes about two of the world’s most famous icons. Their performances will bring Marilyn and Dean to life in both story and song.
The kittenish Susan Griffiths is THE Marilyn of Marilyns. She appeared in the 1994 film Pulp Fiction and starred in the 1991 TV movie Marilyn & Me. Griffiths also appeared in her Monroe persona in the TV series Nip/Tuck, and has many other TV roles to her credit. She has posed in countless photos as the platinum blonde bombshell, and most notably appeared on a giant video screen nightly while Sir Elton John performed Candle in the Wind during his Red Piano live concert.
Strand audiences are already big fans of Andy DiMino, who joined Sebastian Anzaldo and Ambus Dean, and later adding Susan, for the fan-favorite Toast to the Rat Pack shows that have played to packed houses and very enthusiastic audiences for many years! But Andy was a true standout among the group. Audiences were floored by his incredible similarities in voice and appearance!
Andy was drawn to Dean Martin’s relaxed style of singing and began collecting CDs, videos, and books on the Rat Pack icon, collecting for 5 years before he ever put on a tux and donned that famous cigarette. Andy’s role as Dean was best described by an industry insider as: “He really has the manner, presence and voice of Dino down pat.” Andy appeared in hundreds of shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and all over the world!
