SUMMARY:The Nightmare Before Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Starring Danny Elfman\, Chris Sarandon\, & Catherine O’Hara \n\n\n\nJack Skellington\, king of Halloween Town\, discovers Christmas Town\, but his attempts to bring Christmas to his home causes confusion. \n\n\n\nTim Burton has said the original poem was inspired after seeing Halloween merchandise display in a store being taken down and replaced by a Christmas display. The juxtaposition of ghouls and goblins with Santa and his reindeer sparked his imagination. \n\n\n\nFor one second of film\, up to 12 stop-motion moves had to be made. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhile Danny Elfman was chosen to voice Jack Skellington\, it was felt that his singing was great\, but his speaking voice was too wooden and stiff. Chris Sarandon was then cast as Jack’s speaking voice because he closely matched Elfman’s singing voice. \n\n\n\n\nThe Nightmare Before Christmas \n\n\n\nFriday\, October 9\, 7:00pm \n\n\n\nSunday\, October 11\, 2:00pm \n\n\n\n1993 | PG | 1 Hr\, 16 Min \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets
