SUMMARY:Captain America: The First Avenger
DESCRIPTION:Starring Chris Evans\, Hugo Weaving\, & Hayley Atwell \n\n\n\nSteve Rogers\, a rejected military soldier\, transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a “Super-Soldier serum”. But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a warmonger and a terrorist organization. \n\n\n\nThis is the fifth live-action adaptation of the superhero. The first was the serial Captain America (1944); the second was the television movie Captain America (1979) and its sequel Captain America II: Death Too Soon (1979); and the fourth was the theatrical film Captain America (1990). \n\n\n\n\n\nUnlike some of his other fellow actors who play parts in the film\, Chris Evans didn’t have to audition for the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America since the filmmakers were desperate to have him play the part. \n\n\n\nHayley Atwell based her performance as Peggy Carter on Ginger Rogers: “She can do everything Captain America can do\, but backwards\, and in high heels.” \n\n\n\nThis is the fifth live-action adaptation of the superhero. The first was the serial Captain America (1944); the second was the television movie Captain America (1979) and its sequel Captain America II: Death Too Soon (1979); and the fourth was the theatrical film Captain America (1990). \n\n\n\nCaptain America: The First Avenger \n\n\n\nFriday\, July 24\, 7:30PMSunday\, July 26\, 2:00PM \n\n\n\n2011 | PG-13 | 2Hr. 4Min. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets

SUMMARY:The Last of the Mohicans
DESCRIPTION:Starring Daniel Day-Lewis\, Madeleine Stowe\, & Russell Means \n\n\n\nThree Mohican trappers agree to protect the daughters of a British Colonel in the midst of the French and Indian War. \n\n\n\nDaniel Day-Lewis is well known for going to extremes in preparation for his roles. For this film he lived in the wilderness where his character might have lived\, hunting and fishing and living off the land for several months prior to shooting. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe shoot employed more than 900 Native Americans from all over the United States\, mostly from the Cherokee nation. \n\n\n\nWes Studi claimed in a 1996 interview that he and several of the other Native American actors spoke their lines in their own native languages. When Magua argues with the Huron Sachem in the Huron village\, Studi speaks his native Cherokee\, which is mostly unintelligible to Mike Phillips\, a native Mohawk speaker. When Chingachgook talks with his son Uncas\, Russell Means speaks Lakota Sioux to Inuit Eric Schweig. \n\n\n\nMany long nights were spent filming the siege scenes. Loudspeakers were installed around the battlefield and fort so directions could easily be given to the hundreds of cast and crew. One night after many long hours\, Mann shouted over the speakers\, “What’s that orange light? Turn out that orange light!” After a pause\, another voice came over the speakers saying\, “That’s the SUN\, Michael.” \n\n\n\nThe Last of the Mohicans \n\n\n\nFriday & Saturday\, July 17 & 18\, 7:30PMSunday\, July 19\, 2:00PM \n\n\n\n1992 | R | 1Hr 52Min \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets
