Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Friday - Sunday, April 6 - 8
Starring Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley & Carrie Fischer

In this action-packed installment of the mega-franchise, Rey develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the First Order.

After reading the script for the film, Mark Hamill told director Rian Johnson, "I pretty much fundamentally disagree with every choice you've made for this character [Luke Skywalker]. Now, having said that, I have gotten it off my chest, and my job now is to take what you've created and do my best to realize your vision." Hamill later stated that he has the utmost respect for Johnson and The Force Awakens' director, J.J. Abrams, and is pleased with how both films have turned out. He just wanted to be heard.

After the breakthrough CGI that was displayed in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) for recreating long gone actors, the filmmakers of this film saw fit to issue statements ahead of release, shutting down any speculations (or worries) on the possibility of such a technology being used for the late Carrie Fisher. In short, all her scenes (barring the stunts) are categorically hers, including the dialogue.

Although Disney decided not to use George Lucas' story outlines for Episodes VII, VIII, and IX after the purchase of his company, a couple of Lucas's ideas surfaced in this film, including Luke Skywalker living as a recluse and training a female Jedi (in Lucas's outline her name was Kira).
