I Still Believe
Friday - Sunday,  July 10 - 12
Starring K.J. Apa, Britt Robertson & Reuben Dodd

Looking for inspiration in these trying times? Join us for I Still Believe, The true-life story of Christian music star Jeremy Camp and his journey of love and loss that looks to prove there is always hope.

This movie was directed by the Erwin Brothers, the same filmmakers who directed I Can Only Imagine (2018). Coincidently, both films are Christian films, and both are biographical films about a popular singer with dying loved-ones.

K.J. Apa embraced the role of Jeremy Camp, but only after turning it down....twice.

“I didn’t really back myself, to be honest,” said Apa, most famous for his role as Archie Andrews in the teen drama, Riverdale, “I saw some of the emotional scenes and I was like, ‘Guys, I don’t know if I have the ability to do this.’ I saw how sensitive the story was, and I didn’t want to have that responsibility. If I messed it up, it would have been all on me.”

While Archie is one of the good guys on Riverdale, he's not exactly virtuous, so it came as a surprise to the Erwin brothers when they discovered that Apa was raised in a Christian household.

“We don’t generally require people who work with us — either in front of the camera or behind it — to share our worldview,” Jon Erwin said. “All we care about is that you buy into the story and give it your all. But we came to find out KJ does have an incredible faith background from his childhood, and he drew on that in a very powerful way. I think there’s an added authenticity because he is close to the source material.”

K.J. Apa and Britt Robertson previously played a couple in the film A Dog's Purpose (2017). Despite being such an obviously cute couple, it turns out they're 7 years apart in age.

A concert scene from the film was filmed at Hangout Fest in Alabama and features real concert goers.
