Pete Hewlett & Scott Anderson Return with Their Tribute to The Piano Men: Billy Joel & Elton John

Pete Hewlett
and Scott Anderson return to The Strand with their top-shelf band-mates for a brand new concert experience!  The band first appeared at The Strand to celebrate the music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney as part its exclusive Broadway Concert Series.  The following year, they created The Beatles and Beyond, a 'sequel' show that showcased music from The Fab Four as well as artists that influenced them and latter-day icons who were inspired by the Beatles. As part of The Strand's Centennial Series, Pete & Scott created an original concert, The 70s v. The 80s: a RETROspective that was wildly successful!
Elton & Billy
Now, The Hewlett-Anderson Band has created an entirely new program, The Piano Men!  Pete and Scott pay tribute to two of modern music's most successful and influential rock/pop legends. Not only have these two keyboard masters enjoyed legendary solo careers with 41 Top 10 hits, 11 Grammy's, 45 platinum albums and over 450 million records sold between them, Billy and Elton have enjoyed playing together in concerts since 1994! So, it's only appropriate that The Hewlett-Anderson Band pays tribute to these musical icons in one amazing concert event!

Pete Hewlett
is a world-class singer and musician who happens to have performed with Billy Joel AND Elton John (as well as other household names like Carly Simon, Joe Jackson, Julian Lennon, Amy Grant, and Eric Carmen to name a few). He has toured extensively with Billy Joel from 1983 - 88 as well as in 2008's 'Last Play at Shea', and joined Joel and Elton John on stage at PNC Park during their duel concert there.

Piano Men will highlight the storied careers of these two incredible, globally known talents.  This showcase of Elton John and Billy Joel will be one for the record books, and it will ONLY be at The Strand!

Friday & Saturday ONLY!  February 16 & 17  8:00pm
