Matthew Gilsenan & Vladimir Jablokov

Saturday ONLY, May 8  2:00pm

Experience a Personal & Interactive Virtual Concert Streamed LIVE to The Strand All the Way from Ireland!

One of the more heartbreaking aspects of the 2020 shut-downs and travel restrictions was losing the annual visits by THE CELTIC TENORS. After their March 11 & 12, 2020 concerts, their North American tour was cancelled and they haven't traveled together since. We missed them at Christmas time and this Spring. It's likely we won't see them in person back at The Strand until 2022

Matthew Gilsenan is one third of the beloved international group The Celtic Tenors

Vladimir Jablokov is a world-renowned

concert violinist

On March 21st, we partnered with one-third of The Celtic Tenors, MATTHEW GILSENAN, and International Violinist VLADIMIR JABLOKOV to present an all-new concept in virtual programming; a personal and interactive concert streamed to The Strand's 25' screen in 45 speaker surround-sound. Much more than a pre-recorded concert or even a live-streamed program, Matthew and Vladimir could see and interact with the audience as they performed! The result was a truly unique and memorable experience. The image was crystal clear, the sound quality was tremendous and the artists and audience could interact with no time lag!

We're excited to bring back this personalized concert and make it available to many more fans! In March, only 40 tickets were available, but with recent state mandates allowing theaters to operate at 75% of capacity, the show is now available to dozens more and at a LOWER TICKET PRICE!

That's right! When Matthew and Vladimir return to The Strand screen, tickets are just $10, half of what they were in March!

Think you can't get a great image and outstanding sound quality from a concert streamed on a virtual meeting platform? CLICK HERE to watch Caledonia, then CLICK HERE to enjoy Ber Mi O, both recorded from Matthew and Vladimir's March 21st interactive concert at The Strand!

If you're skeptical about the quality of a concert streamed on a virtual meeting platform all the way from Ireland, we promise you, you won't be disappointed, and we can prove it! Click on either of the above links taken from the March 21st concert. Then imagine that same clarity and sound quality streamed onto a 25' screen in 45 speaker surround-sound!

As heartbreaking as it is that The Celtic Tenors won't be back in Zelienople until 2022, this personal and interactive concert from Matthew and Vladimir along with Concert Pianist KEVIN WALSH is the next best thing to being there!

The concert will be 40 to 45 minutes and will include up to 8 musical pieces performed especially for you. You'll also enjoy a personal greeting and interact with Matthew and Vladimir.

Just about every artist on the planet has been developing creative ways to reach audiences in the midst of the global pandemic. We're excited to offer some of that creativity at The Strand in the form of personalized, interactive concert from one third of the beloved trio, MATTHEW GILSENAN, as he teams up with world-renowned concert violinist VLADIMIR JABLOKOV!

Using the ZOOM virtual meeting platform, Matthew and Vladimir, along with Concert Pianist KEVIN WALSH, will perform a personalized concert, projected onto The Strand's 25' screen in 45 speaker surround-sound. Far more than a streamed concert or YouTube video, this concert will be live and interactive! You will be able to see Matthew and Vladimir on the screen, and they will be able to see the audience!

Matthew and Vladimir will be delighted to perform live and even take questions from the audience! It's a wonderful way to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day weekend alongside friends, family and fellow fans!

The concert will be 40 to 45 minutes long and will include up to 8 musical pieces performed especially for you. You'll also enjoy a personal greeting and live chat with Matthew and Vladimir.

Matthew Gilsenan of The Celtic Tenors is a true Lyric Tenor, born and raised in Moynalty, County Meath. Music has been in his bones from an early age. He was initially taught to sing by a nun in the Convent of Mercy in Kells. He has a vast range, which he can deliver in his own unique and powerful way across all genres from Dylan to Cohen, from Puccini to McCormack.

Two decades of touring the world with the internationally renowned Celtic Tenors has brought Matthew to extraordinary venues all over the world. Every continent has been touched by his charm and talent.

Slovak Violin Sensation Vladimir Jablokov was born into a family of virtuoso classical musicians. He began his formal classical training at age six. At 18, Vladimir was to start training at The Academy of Performing Arts, but years of regimented instrumental studies left him craving a break from classical music. He packed his bags - and a fishing rod - and left for Ireland in pursuit of adventure. Two weeks in, he ran out of money, and started busking on Dublin's Grafton Street. Since then he has never stopped playing, starting with corporate events, weddings and concerts and has never looked back.

Vladimir has been thrilling audiences since moving to Ireland 16 years ago. His live performances are nothing short of electric and exhilarating as he brings his skilled fusion of classical music with the playfulness, energy, passion and emotion of gypsy, folk and popular music to intense life. His talent and playful nature make him a perfect partner for Matthew with this personal and interactive virtual concert!
