Rick will showcase some of his favorite moments with a video scrapbook pulled from his extensive library along with an intimate talk-back and Q&A. Proceeds from this program benefit WQED and The Strand. \n\n\n\n\n\nAudiences enjoy Rick’s friendly narrative style and the unusual topics that he obviously loves. Rick’s extensive body of work includes working with the Engineers Society of Western PA on a local program called Invented\, Engineered & Pioneered in Pittsburgh\, about our region’s long history and continuing prominence in many aspects of engineering\, to a national show for PBS titled A Ride Along The Lincoln Highway about the history and charms of America’s first coast-to-coast highway. His topics have famously included flea markets\, Pittsburgh’s Strip District\, “Sandwiches That You Will Like”\, pre-Disney amusement parks\, sporting events unique to Da ‘Burgh\, and\, of course\, the fan-favorite\, Things That Aren’t There Anymore. \n\n\n\nA satire site posted a joke recently\, “Rick Sebak Retires Due Running Out of Things to Document”. We all know that could never happen.
