SUMMARY:Yankee Doodle Dandy
DESCRIPTION:Starring James Cagney\, Joan Leslie\, & Walter Huston \n\n\n\nThe life of the renowned musical composer\, playwright\, actor\, dancer\, and singer George M. Cohan. \n\n\n\nDespite failing health\, the real George M. Cohan acted briefly as a consultant on the film. He lived long enough to see the finished result and approved wholeheartedly of James Cagney’s depiction of himself. \n\n\n\nIn the film\, George M. Cohan’s sister\, Josie\, is played by James Cagney’s real sister\, Jeanne Cagney. James Cagney was 20 years older than Jeanne. (In the film\, Josie Cohan is presented as George’s younger sister. In reality\, she was his older sister.) \n\n\n\n\n\nJames Cagney became the first actor to win the Best Actor Academy Award for a musical performance. \n\n\n\nThis marks the first time a living U.S. President was depicted in a sound film. \n\n\n\nYankee Doodle DandyFriday\, July 3rd\, 7:30PMSunday\, July 5th\, 2:00PM1942 | Unrated | 2Hr. 6Min \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets

SUMMARY:Heartbreak Ridge
DESCRIPTION:Starring Clint Eastwood\, Marsha Mason\, & Everett McGill \n\n\n\nHard-nosed\, hard-living Marine Gunnery Sergeant Tom Highway clashes with his superiors and his ex-wife as he takes command of a spoiled recon platoon with a bad attitude. \n\n\n\nThis movie is a fictional account of the real-life invasion of Grenada by the U.S.\, though some sequences in the movie were based on actual events from that engagement. \n\n\n\nThe title was derived from the Korean War’s Battle of Heartbreak Ridge\, also known as the Battle of Wendengli. It was fought between September 13 and October 15\, 1951. \n\n\n\n\n\nThough he has acted in earlier war movies and directed others later in his career\, this is the only war movie of Clint Eastwood’s where he both acted and directed. \n\n\n\nHeartbreak Ridge \n\n\n\nFriday\, July 10\, 7:30PMSunday\, July 12\, 2:00PM \n\n\n\n1986 | R | 2 Hr. 10 Min. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets
