Each month, during Zelie’s Thursday Street Faires, The Strand will present a new crop of hysterical local comics, hosted by John Benkart. Yinz are gonna love it ‘n at, and we ain’t jaggin’!
In addition to John, this month’s Headliner is Aarik Nesby. Also joining in the fray are Blake Scala and John Ritenour.
JOHN BENKART will host the show each month. He’s a Pittsburgh based comedian who has Performed in NYC at the Stand Up NY Comedy Club as well as in Austin, TX at The Comedy Mothership, Creek & The Cave Comedy Club & the Sunset Strip Comedy Club.
AARIK NESBY is a 26 year old comedian from Pittsburgh who’s made a name for himself around the scene for the last 7 years. His laid back comedy style & charming storytelling draws people in and grabs their attention. You can find him performing all over Pittsburgh at the Pittsburgh improv, arcade comedy theater and other local venues.
BLAKE SCALA is a renowned dishwasher, stand-up comic, and proud degenerate based in Pittsburgh. He aims to take audiences on a dark, chaotic journey through the various misfortunes of his burnout lifestyle. He’s performed for Don’t Tell Comedy, Arcade Comedy Theater, Bottlerocket Social Hall, and many venues across the region, but you can usually find him stranded at a bus stop.
JOHN RITENOUR is a stand up comedian based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has performed venues throughout the Northeast and Midwest including Louisville Comedy Club and Arcade Comedy Theater. John has also performed on Don’t Tell Comedy Pittsburgh and Indianapolis
