What better way to celebrate our nation's independence than with a full symphony concert that the whole family will enjoy.  The concert will take place leading up to the borough's dazzling fireworks display.

The non-profit Strand Theater Initiative is pleased and proud to bring back the Pittsburgh Philharmonic in what has become a new tradition for the community.  Enjoy American classics and patriotic favorites by composers whose musical contributions have helped to shape our great nation.

For more than 31 years The Pittsburgh Philharmonic, a 60-member symphony orchestra, offers new and original performances in community settings. The orchestra performs 10 to 15 concerts per year, comprised of a classical season and a summer pops series. The orchestra promotes music education through its' Young Artist Concerto Competition, Music Exploration Workshops for elementary students, and a summer student mentoring program.
